Thing #4

Commenting on blogs is a great way to build relationships with people you otherwise may never have the opportunity to meet. The internet has given us such a great opportunity to share ideas and opinions interactively with an unlimited number of readers. It is important is you find a blog you like that you leave meaningful comments that add to the topic and flow of conversation. If you are the author of the blog it is important to respond to your readers in order to show that you are interested and respect what they have to say.

I look forward to finding blogs to keep up with in order to expand my knowledge and meet others who are interested in the same things I am. I am also considering starting a blog for family in other states to help ensure they do not miss out on all the fun moments in my children's lives.

For this post I read How to comment like a king (or queen!) - from The Coolcat Teacher Blog, 10 techniques to get more comments on your blog - from ProBlogger and Edublogger Etiquette - Responding to Comments - from Drapes Takes blog. I found them as a great asset to learning the dos and don'ts of blog commenting!

As for classmates, I chose to follow  Kristin Fowlkes, Myleah Gallagher, Stephanie Stevens because I have other classes with them and enjoyed  conversations with them. So following their blogs will be a great way to be exposed to more of their ideas. I chose Janelle Ferrier because she is also in other classes  am in at the moment and always has great discussion board posts, so I would love to read her blogs and get her perspective on things. As for Tyler Cherry / I also wanted at least on guy perspective on things and do not know any of the guys in class so I chose Tyler at random!
